As a Break Out (bouncing a ball off a paddle to break objects in front of you) clone, it has to be said, this game is pretty easy. But.. being easy doesn't make it any less fun.

As a Break Out (bouncing a ball off a paddle to break objects in front of you) clone, it has to be said, this game is pretty easy. But.. being easy doesn't make it any less fun.

Each 3D play area that pops up is full of towers, blocks, powerups and moving gates etc. meaning that you're never far from a spectacular building collapse or a frantic multi-fire-ball blitz that will leave that scene devastated and you praying for a slow powerup so you can get 6 balls under control!

After 40 or so levels of pretty much the same thing, I am wondering what else there is to come next, but Boom Voyage is a solid, stress free, entertaining break out blitz and strangely addictive despite the similarity of the levels.

The premise is simple - you are a bug eyed blob and you've got to make it to the end of the track.

The execution is somewhat more complex... Chromadrome 2 is one of those games that you will come back to and think How did I EVER manage to get this far?!?! Although, the nifty speed setting option helps you get back into the (very fast!) swing of things again without too many frustrating re-tries.

A definite plus point and great piece of innovation in my opinion, is the fact that you can pick your own MP3s as the soundtrack to the game. Ideal for picking the perfect Prodigy or Streisand tune to really get your adrenalin pumping.

All in all, Chromadrome 2 is a (very) fast paced, many facetted, great looking, great sounding action racer with lots of additional game features that will guarantee you have plenty of challenges for much longer than you would expect on a game of this size.
